Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus outbreak, all dates have been cancelled.
Please keep an eye out for more information in the future. COBSRC wishes all it's members and guests well in this troubling time.


All of our shoots run from 11:00 till 16:00 at Yoxter. We ask that
you arrive at 10:00 to receive instructions and a safety briefing.

Please be aware that this is a firearms club, and we do not accept air rifles.

Firers Brief

• On arrival at the firing point you must not place ANY kit on the firing point until the RCO gives permission.
• Bolts will not be inserted or breech flags removed until you are on the firing point.
• You must not load or fire until told to do so by the RCO.
• You are reminded to hold your rifle horizontally and pointed towards your target when loading, unloading, dealing with misfires and having the rifle inspected. There must be no deliberate cross firing.
• If you do have a misfire do not open the bolt for at least 30 seconds. Lay your rifle on the ground pointing towards your target with the breach \ towards the ground and raise your hand to attract the RCOs attention.
• Everyone must wear effective hearing protection both on and near the firing point and in the butts.
• No one may aim a rifle, look through the sights, remove a breach flag or insert a bolt unless they are on the firing point with the RCOs permission.
• Before you leave the firing point make sure you have your rifle inspected and cleared. Pick up any empty cases and litter and take them with you.
• If firing has to stop in an emergency the RCO will shout “STOP! STOP! STOP!” You must then IMMEDIATELY open your bolt, lay your rifle down and await further instructions.
